Guide to Other Internet Resources

If you can get to the Internet, you have a powerful resource to help you or your loved one learn more about cancer, its treament and options. However, it is easy to be completely overwhelmed by the sheer volume of information available and the varying degrees of complexity and reliability of each source.

To help you get started in your search, we've put together some links to other sites and News Groups about cancer. (Please take a moment to read our terms of use). These web sites are great starting places in your search for information. A brief description of each link is provided so that you can determine just where--and how much--you want to explore. Our editors reviewed these sites and determined that they are responsible, reliable sources of information. We also provide a page to help you search the Web on your own Guide to Searching the Web.

If you are new to the topic, we suggest you visit the National Cancer Institute's Dictionary of Cancer Terms to familiarize yourself with the terms used to discuss cancer. And please, ask your doctor if you have any questions!
